UmCandle® - Fats for candles

Vegetable oils and fats are used in numerous technical applications. We have a complete portfolio of oils and fats suitable for uses in candles, surfactants, cosmetics, coatings and soaps.

The natural properties of vegetable oils have superb environmental advantages, such as biodegradability, having low ecotoxicity and low toxicity towards humans.

For technical uses, a range of characteristics and parameters are of importance; moisture impermeability for coating purposes, low colour, fatty acid composition and iodine value for soaps and tensides.

For candles the correct melting characteristics are of main significance. Other more general characteristics such as free acid content, kosher and non-GMO are also often important.
