Sime Darby Unimills is in the race for the MVO(responsible entrepreneurship) Drechtsteden award 2012. We are the first link in the supply chain for the production of food products. Therefore, it is our responsibility to deliver sustainable ingredients to the food industry.
Palm oil is one of the most important raw materials to produce food products. Since 2008, Sime Darby Unimills parent company, Sime Darby, is certifying their estates according to the RSPO (Round Table of Sustainable Palm Oil) criteria. Sime Darby Unimills’ goal is to use only sustainable certificated palm oil in the vegetable oil and fat blends.
The winner of the Drechtsteden award 2012 will be announced on the 1st of November.
