Golden Hope, as a strong advocate of sustainable palm oil practices, has received numerous accolades for its good plantation practices. One of the most prestigious awards received by the company was the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) Global 500 Roll of Honour for the commercialization of the zero-burning replanting technique. The company was the first plantation company in Malaysia to receive such an award. Apart from the zero-burning technique, the company had also come up with innovations to ensure the sustainability of plantation practices, for example innovation on water management, estate mechanization and pest control.
